Master Kevin Hawley, 7th Degree Black Belt. Kevin is one of the three founders of Bucks Pro Mai and has been instructing for 37 years. Kevin started his martial arts career in 1980 training in Karate. In 1982, he started boxing with Chesham ABA and in 1984 started training in Tae Kwon-Do. He then went on to achieve the following Black Belt ranks; Tae Kwon-Do 1st Degree 1987, 2nd Degree 1989. Choi Kwang-Do 3rd Degree 1992. He was then appointed technical director of Choi Karate (the fore-runner of Pro Mai) and in 1994 was promoted to 4th Degree Black belt. He gained international instructor status in 1996. In 2001, Kevin was awarded 5th Degree Black Belt in Pro Mai. Kevin has had the privilege to train with many masters of the martial arts and has now become one of only a few who is progressing the future of the martial arts with constant research. Fully qualified, DBS checked and first-aid trained. Having turned down 6th degree promotion in 2007, the Pro Mai International President has just awarded him 7th Degree Master status for all his hard work and continued contributions towards improving Pro Mai.
